Shock! Horror! Children’s author goes
missing during vital photo shoot!
Four members of Islington Writers for Children were selling books at the Cinamon and Silk Craft Fair just before Christmas, when a photographer from the Islington Tribune happened along.
The fifth member of the party, Odette Elliot, was nowhere to be found at the time and is believed to have wandered off in search of refreshments. The top left-hand corner of the picture, where she would have appeared, sadly, remains empty.
Also featured in the photo are a number of Buzz groupies.

Great! This is exactly the sort of publicity I like to see. It looks as if it all went well.
Glad to see that my absence stimulated such creativity on the publicity front. However I can only hope that I’ll create a better impression when I’m actually THERE!
Sorry for the teasing, Odette – I hope you don’t mind. As a result of everyone’s involvement (and at such short notice), it was a very successful event. We managed to sell 17 books between the five of us, which I think is brilliant.
Excellent publicity for the group! Congratulations on a blasting blog as well.
Nic photo, shame about Odette! Well done those writers for raising the profile!
